Cross-venue Search

How Cross-venue Search matches Polymarket and Kalshi events and presents the markets within each result.

Cross-venue Search finds Polymarket and Kalshi events from a name, topic, or part of a market question. Each result represents an event, which can contain several individual markets. A name found in one of those markets brings up the event that contains it; the event's details show the individual markets and their prices. Listings from the two venues appear as separate results, even when they concern the same question.

You can search, change the filters, and inspect event details without an account. A free account adds controls for browsing further pages of results.

Searching by name or wording

The search box accepts names and phrases, such as bitcoin. Results update after a short pause in typing, so there is no separate submission step. Clicking Search or pressing Enter takes focus out of the field and dismisses the keyboard on a phone.

Matching covers event titles, subtitles, tags, and individual market names. Titles, subtitles, and tags can match partial wording and minor spelling differences. Individual market names use literal wording, which makes spelling and word order more significant when a subject appears only in a market's name. The field accepts ordinary text; the query operators used in Social Intelligence do not apply here.

The result count in the search box shows how many events match the text and active filters. It includes results beyond the page currently displayed. Changing the text, filters, or sorting returns you to the first page. While the new results load, the previous rows may remain visible and dimmed.

The × in the search field removes the text while keeping the venue, status, sorting, and rules-text choice. A new subject entered afterward uses those same settings.

Venue and event status

The venue menu offers All venues, Polymarket, and Kalshi. The Status menu controls which events are included:

StatusEvents included
OpenEvents that are open for trading.
ClosedEvents that have stopped trading and may still await a finalized outcome.
SettledEvents whose outcomes have been finalized.
AllOpen, closed, and settled events together.

Venue and status changes apply immediately. Status describes the event as a whole; its individual markets can have their own statuses.

Searching the resolution rules

An identifying detail may appear in a market's settlement conditions without appearing in its title. Include rules text, shortened to Rules on a phone, extends the search to those conditions. For example, a source, organization, or threshold named in the rules can bring up the event that contains them. Rules use literal wording matches, so a phrase from the conditions can be more useful than a description of their meaning.

Rules searching is available with Open, Closed, or Settled selected. Choosing All disables it. Returning to one status restores your previous rules-text choice.

Opening the result's event details shows the available rules in full. The Market Resolution guide explains how settlement conditions determine an event contract's outcome.

Reading the results

The results table brings together the matching events from the selected venues. Its Sort menu changes their order across all result pages; the column headings themselves do not change the sorting.

Sort optionResult order
RelevanceStronger wording matches appear first.
24h volumeEvents with the most trading volume over the past day appear first. The table abbreviates this figure as 24h vol.
VolumeEvents with the most lifetime trading volume appear first.
Open interestEvents with the greatest outstanding contract exposure appear first. The table abbreviates this figure as Open int.
Closing inFuture expected closing times appear first, from earliest to latest. Past closing times follow, with missing dates last.

The Event column shows the title and a venue marker, with its category underneath when one is available. The trading figures describe the whole event, and Markets shows its reported market count. An open event's detail panel shows its open markets, so the panel can contain fewer rows than this count. With Status set to All, a Status column is also available to distinguish open, closed, and settled results.

Dollar figures are rounded and abbreviated. A blank figure means the value is unavailable; it should not be read as zero. Missing activity figures appear last when sorting by that measure.

Closing in shows the time remaining until the venue's expected closing time, or elapsed time with “ago” when that time has passed. Hovering over the cell reveals the date in your local timezone. The expected closing time does not establish when settlement or a payout will finish.

Visible columns

The Columns menu controls which optional figures appear. Narrow screens display fewer columns automatically, and adding more may require horizontal scrolling. After a column choice changes, Reset columns becomes available to restore the columns normally shown at the table's current width.

Column choices are saved in your browser.

Search can sort events by their activity figures. Filtering by a numeric range, such as a probability or a minimum trading volume, is available in the Market Screener, alongside categories and keyword filters.

Event details

Selecting an event's title or row opens its details in a panel on the right. The panel fills the screen width on a phone, and closing it returns to the same search. The arrow at the right of a result row provides a direct link to the full research page.

The panel shows the event's available figures and its individual markets, with their displayed Yes probabilities. It also includes price history when enough data is available. The update stamp near the event title shows when the market data was last updated. Figures can trail those on the venue's own page, which you can open through View on Polymarket or View on Kalshi.

Market rules and figures

The location of a market's rules depends on how many markets the panel displays. With a single market, Rules is an expandable section below its probability. In a list of several markets, each row expands to show its additional figures and any available rules. The rules section appears only when text is available. Resolution-source links, where supplied, lead to the sources the venue names for determining the outcome.

A longer list offers Filter markets and a Show all control. Filter markets narrows the market names within this event; it leaves the main search results unchanged. The headings within the market list let you sort its rows.

Price history

The price chart shows the available history for the selected markets. Its range controls change the period displayed, with the choices determined by the stored history. The panel may show current prices without a chart when there is not enough history to draw one.

When the panel lists several markets, the color control beside each market is labeled Show on chart or Hide from chart. This controls whether that market's history appears. At the chart's line limit, hiding one market makes room for another. The same controls can restore lines after all of them have been hidden.

Research pages and comparisons

Go to the research page opens the event's full page, including its briefing and available social analytics. Open in Arbitrage Scanner carries the event into a comparison where you can choose a counterpart and inspect the pair's prices and payouts. The Arbitrage Scanner manual explains that workflow.

The Related events card lists events with similar wording and has its own venue menu. Selecting a related event opens its research page. Similar wording can suggest another question to investigate; the individual market rules determine whether its conditions match those of the original event.

Result pages

When more results are available, signed-in users can move between pages with ‹ Previous, Next ›, or a page number. Visitors without an account see a sign-up option in place of those controls.

When the expected event does not appear

A missing event may fall outside the selected venue or status. Closed and settled events are excluded while Status is Open. All includes events from each status; selecting a specific status also makes rules searching available.

A shorter name or phrase can help when the wording differs from the catalog. Text that appears only in a market name or its rules needs a closer match in spelling and word order, and a fuller name can work better than a very short abbreviation. If the identifying detail appears only in the settlement conditions, it also requires Include rules text.

An unavailable message means the page could not load the results for that request. A separate message asks for a pause if requests are arriving too quickly.
